We’re currently entering the second week after a very long holiday. How was your holiday? Are you having a post-holiday blues right now? Don’t worry. The good news is, so are we. The long holiday might be over, but please allow us to share our holiday experience to lift up your mood a bit!
ASTON KUTA HOTEL & RESIDENCE
Last holiday we got a chance to stayed at Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence, Bali. Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence is a 4-star hotel that has a very strategic location. It’s just a 5-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport and Bali’s famous Kuta Beach. Located in the entertainment district of Bali, Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence is within walking distance to Kuta’s most popular attractions such as Waterbom Park, Segara Beach, Lippo Mall, Discovery Mall, Park 23, and BeachWalk.
Once we entered the hotel, we can feel the summery and tropical vibes immediately. There are greeneries and palm trees at every corner of the hotel. Aston Kuta & Residence is a modern accomodation, however, the hotel is also decorated with Bali antiques furniture and fine art, such as paintings and gamelan. We like the idea of mixing modern and traditional styles together. Never forget your roots, peeps!
After we checked in, their friendly staff assisted us to our room. Our room was a poolside room. It totally switched our mood into holiday mood, that we actually forgot all the deadlines and all the stress for a while. Oh, we wanna stay here forever!
Room is equipped with a work desk, a flat-screen and cable TV, private bathroom with a bathtub and overhead shower, hairdryer, minibar, refrigerator, safety box, air conditioner, and Wi-Fi.
The hotel offers a 24 hours room service for snacks, refreshments, and comfort food. The hotel is a family friendly hotel. They have a Kid’s Menu, so you don’t have to worry if you ever come with your picky little ones.
Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence has a complete facilities. If you are visiting on a business trip, they have several meeting rooms available. What we love the most about the hotel is their outdoor swimming pool. The pool located in the center of the hotel, surrounded by the hotel buildings and palm trees. It creates a pleasing symmetry to the eye (and the camera). They also have a children pool and a poolside bar. If you want to stay fit during your holiday, you can flex them muscles at the fitness center. Get tired after a long day of walking and strolling around the city? Relax, unwind, and try their massage and spa treatment. We did mention earlier that the hotel is a family friendly hotel. They have a Kids Club specially curated for your little ones.
Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence has two restaurants that are worth to try; Sugar & Spice Restaurant and The Lighthouse Rooftop. By the time we arrived, it was lunch time, so we were advised to had lunch at the Sugar & Spice Restaurant and tried their best menu. We were definitely hooked by their Nasi Bali. The Sate Lilit and Sambal Matah were heavenly delicious. The Lighthouse Rooftop is a perfect place to catch sunset and enjoy city lights at night. The rooftop is actually kinda popular, it’s always packed during sunset and throughout the night.
If you want to catch the sunset at the beach, you can visit Ma Joly Restaurant & Lounge. Ma Joly is a perfect destination for those who are seeking an intimate and quiet beach club. It’s just a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. You just have to ask the receptionist and they will give you a free entrance to Ma Joly. When we arrived at Ma Joly, the staff gave us non-alcoholic welcome drinks. The view was so breathtaking. We can photographed local fishing canoes, and watched the planes landing over the water at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. We were so lucky because there was a private beach wedding that was being held there! The wedding was beautifully decorated and very romantic. We enjoyed the sunset over a pair of great cocktails.
Buffet breakfast is served at the hotel. Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence have a wide variations of breakfast menu, ranging from local to international dishes. What catched our attention was the unique Egg Station, where you can order your favorite kind of egg. We’ve never seen it elsewhere.
Overall, we really had a great time and we enjoyed our visit. A hundred percent recommended and would love to be back in the future!
